1-800-ABOGADO (*South and Central Texas Only)
For the first 13 years of his practice, Richard was a highly successful personal injury and insurance defense attorney. In 2000, he decided that he would prefer to help injured victims than to defend big companies. In 2003, Richard joined the Law Offices of David McQuade Leibowitz, P.C. and has been trying cases with David ever since. (Interestingly, David and Richard used to be adversaries!) With his insight into defense strategies and tactics, Richard adds a unique perspective to the firm, ultimately helping the firm to better serve our clients. His experience extends back to when he was a nationally ranked intercollegiate debater at the University of Kansas, to his numerous accolades while at Baylor Law School (including receiving a Leon Jaworski Scholarship and being a part of Baylor's National Mock Trial Team), to his extensive litigation and trial experience (Richard has tried over 200 civil jury trials to a verdict, ranging in length from 3 days to 3 months). Richard has been a part of the San Antonio community for over 27 years. He met his wife Mary here, and together they are raising their two children.
